Welcome to Writer's Block E-cards and thank you for wanting to know more about the organization. Since the start of the internet, it seems that there are many sites that have chosen the name Writer's Block or some variations of the name. We claim no affiliations with any other groups but support what most are trying to do. Their goals are usually similar to our own and the name does not define who we are.

The concept started in 1991 as a vision to help writers by combining their strengths and weaknesses to improve the group as a whole. The act of doing so inspired the name Writer's Block. It simply referred to a group or block of writers. That is what we were. The goals remain the same now as they were then:

Bring writers together.
Combine the knowledge that each member has to offer so that all can grow.
Overcome the barriers that each writer faces by working together
Promote the things that we do whether it be music, poetry, art, or literature of another media.
Give back what we have been given.
Have fun no matter what.
